PLAN FOR YOUR WHEN/WIN

About Us

Cultivate individuals into MENTALLY CONDITIONED, INTELLIGENT, and highly effICIENT athletes who CONSISTENTLY SUCCEED AND EXECUTE UNDER PRESSURE.

With my extensive experience as a professional basketball player and coach at both the Division 1 and international levels, along with a strong foundation in education and mentoring youth, I have gained valuable insights into the intricacies of player development.

I have observed many young athletes who are passionate about basketball yet often lack guidance on effective training systems, which hinders their ability to reach their full potential in the sport they love. Lets Fly Together is dedicated to educating players on achieving success both on the court and in life, highlighting the deep connection between the two, which can often be overlooked. Life mirrors a sport, and each individual faces their own unique challenges; without clarity on their personal race, setbacks may occur.

Lets Fly Together is committed to helping athletes find harmony and devise a strategic plan that fosters achievement in all aspects of their lives. Mastering a framework that balances sports and life is essential for every player. LFT provides customized Individual Enhancement Plans that cater to each athlete’s specific needs, addressing any on and off-court areas for growth essential to meeting their aspirations. While basketball development is the primary focus, LFT also nurtures the whole person by enhancing their spirit, physical, and mental conditioning, alongside their skills development. Our mission transcends merely improving players; we aim to cultivate individuals into accomplished men and women. Life is filled with challenges that come without timeouts, so individuals must learn to adapt and triumph over any obstacles they face. By doing so, they will strive to build a legacy that inspires others to chase their accolades, while also not making it easy for them to surpass them.  The passion, dedication, and determination cultivated on the court can seamlessly translate into lives, empowering individuals to achieve their dreams and create lasting success.

dominate the time of when

“different race, different pace, different when is the mindset that will allow you to prepare for your when and obtain your win”

When is defined as a moment of time you look forward to with anticipation as you plan. Sometimes the when can be clearly defined and other times it can be estimated, and other instances when remains unpredictable. Which is why when can bring emotions of excitement, anger, eagerness, and frustration before and after when arrives. Some whens carry more weight then other whens as we pursue our goals, like the significance of taking your first steps versus running through the finish line.  The key to navigating the concept of when lies first in understanding your when is different from your competition and secondly, taking advantage of your when when it arrives, provided you have anticipated and prepared for when’s arrival.

DIFFERENT WHEN… DIFFERENT WIN

Everyone’s race is personalized.  The length, pace and “when” is different for everyone.  The pivotal question is whether you are ready for “when” your number is called. Luck is often mischaracterized as the intersection of preparation and opportunity; however, a more accurate view sees luck as the access to limited chances. Are you prepared for your “when” to obtain your win?

do i have to train with lft to get the off the court resources?

No, you do not have to train with LFT to get access to the off the court resources like Film Study, strengthening your basketball IQ, or obtaining an Individual Enhancement Plan.

how do i change from being a person who plays basketball into a basketball player?

It starts with commitment and consistency with a plan you follow to ensure you grow as a player.  The game of basketball has now become more of a business now that NIL and the Portal has come into play. Players no longer can see sports as a sport but now as a business that requires their full attention.

are you currently running at the right pace during your race and how do you know?

Your plan should have a date that makes you aware of the needed pace you need to sustain to accomplish your goals. Where are you compared to the next goal you need to achieve?  Are your skills where they need to be at?  Have you performed and in the right setting that has allowed for the exposure for the dream you are pursuing?

do you understand the system your coach is running?

Are you able to teach the system to your teammates as if the coach was speaking?  If not, you need to spend time with the coaching staff and your teammates and fully grasp the system.  This is important because once you understand the system, you can manipulate the system in your favor which will allow you to be more of an efficient player on both ends of the floor.

What is the portal?

Just like professional athletes have to fight for their jobs by being consistent and that consistency will bring wealth or the lack of consistency will end a career, the Portal has the same effect on college and high school players. Coaches are in a win now mentality and are looking for players to contribute now.  High school players are now having to compete for athletic scholarships with college athletes which creates a shortage of scholarships for high school athletes.

how do i beat the portal? how do i sign my next professional contract?

By being an efficient player who has the athleticism, skill, and strength to compete on level they are pursuing.  Finding the right team that highlights your strengths and bringing value to the team you are on.  Very simple answer, but not always easy to execute.

are you proactive and treating this game like a business?

Depending on your skillset and the role you have on the team, you are not guaranteed to come back to the same team the following year.  Play with urgency, study endlessly, and prepare for your next job.  Never assume you are a lock.  Give yourself options.
